A full-scale musical, from auditions to opening night, in one week? Can it be done? We think so, and we think it will knock your socks off, just as our popular 24-Hour Play Project has done in the past. The One-Week Musical Project, a special summer production by The Colonial Players, will begin with auditions at 10 a.m. on Saturday, July 9 at the Colonial Players Annex and end the following weekend with two performances at the theater--one Saturday evening and one Sunday afternoon. What musical will it be? Well, that’s half the fun of it; no one except the director and musical director will know what show it will be until after the auditions! Herewith, the details:

Auditions
Saturday, July 9 at 10 a.m. at the Colonial Players Annex
Seeking 4 Men and 4 Women of Any Age
Auditions will consist of singing a song of your preference and readings from a variety of scripts
(Please bring sheet music; a pianist will be provided)
Casting and first rehearsal will occur immediately following auditions
Rehearsals
All rehearsals will take place at the Colonial Players Annex (unless otherwise specified)
Saturday, July 9: 1 p.m. to 10 p.m. (breaks provided for meals)
Sunday, July 10: 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. (breaks provided for meals)
Monday to Thursday, July 11 to 14: 7 p.m. to 11 p.m.
Friday, July 15: 7 p.m. to Midnight at the theater (Cue to Cue)
Saturday, July 16: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the theater (Dress Rehearsals)
