After you've laughed yourself silly, stick around and chat about The Liar with director Steve Tobin and the cast and crew. Wax poetical on the challenges of doing a play written entirely in rhyming iambic pentameter. Muse on the role of borscht-belt shtick and improvisation within the context of a 371-year old play and a 4-year old adaptation. What place does character and caricature have? Can you always "play it for laughs," or why is it funnier sometimes to just "ask for the cup of tea"?
The Liar team will be answering questions from the audience and engaging in delightful banter with anyone who wants to stay after the show on Saturday, January 31, 2015. The "talk-back" will begin approximately 5 minutes after the end of the show (around 10:30 p.m.) at the theatre. We hope to see you there!
May the Farce be with you...
Note: It is not necessary to attend the performance to participate in the post-show talkback.
