Here, to help actors peer a bit further into the future than they’re accustomed to, is an auditioner’s guide to Season 67 (2015-16) of The Colonial Players. This year we take our audiences from a makeshift basement tomb in Victorian London, made especially for good ol’ Sherlock Holmes, to the smoky nightclubs of the 1950s jazz scene, to an audition in New York that is as mysteriously allegorical as it is sexy, to the saucy pre-liberation world of 1960s airline stewardesses, to a musical Secret Garden in England and, finally, to a working class neighborhood of South Boston. The age ranges refer to the ideal look of the character, not the actual age of the actor.
