In preparation for another fabulous season, we have scheduled our Executive Production Meeting for Saturday, February 11, 2017, 10 a.m., at the Colonial Players’ Annex (2132 Renard Court, Annapolis, MD 21401 – see website for directions); and invite you to join us in our playmaking.

For those who’ve never attended this meeting before, let me give you a little background. The idea behind the Executive Production Meeting is similar to how a show production meeting is run.  In the case of a single show, the producer brings together the designers and staff to map the course of the show and help bring the directors vision to life. This meeting is similar – except on a more strategic scale. We’ll be taking a look at the season as a whole with the Board, production teams, and any interested member who wants to join us. We brainstorm ideas about production, staging, marketing, special events (such as talkbacks or lobby displays). Prospective directors, designers, and staff may find it especially enlightening.

Here’s all you need to do to join in the fun, and be prepared for the session:

• Read several of the scripts.  Contact Mickey Lund (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.) for more info on scripts you’d like to access. Pick the ones you’re excited about, or pick the ones you don’t know at all; or pick ‘em all if you’re up for it! Knowing the material will make this a far more interesting and productive meeting.

There’s no need to get dressed up for this. Roll out of bed and be at the annex on Saturday (2/11) for coffee at 9:45 am. We’ll start at 10 a.m., and plan to wrap at noon so you can enjoy the rest of your Saturday.
