Physicality Workshop [COMPLETE]

Led by Martin Thompson
This workshop will explore movement techniques for the actor with an emphasis on character creation. Exercises will draw on the ideas of Jacques Lecoq, Anne Bogart and others to expand the actor's physical vocabulary while surveying physical theatre and performance theory. Actors should arrive in comfortable clothing and be prepared to move.
Cost: $10 per participant; $5 for current CP members

Scene Study Workshop
6 Sessions beginning Saturday, February 16, 2019 - Note that the starting date has changed (originally January 26).
10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Led by Kris Valerio Shock
This six-week acting workshop will focus on Meisner-based scene study. Participants can come with a friend and pair on an assigned scene, or come solo and either pair with another actor OR work on a monologue, if preferred. The first 1/2 hour of class will consist of warm-ups and acting exercises, followed by an hour of scene work.
This scene/monologue study will occur weekly on Saturday mornings from February 16 through March 23.
About Kris Valerio Shock: Ms. Shock studied acting at Towson University and pursued her craft locally and in New York City. She is the author of the one-woman show Moving at the Speed of Life, developed with co-producer Jane Petrov at Manhattan Theatre Source in the West Village. She performed a full Off-Broadway run in May 2002, with subsequent productions at Towson University, the Toronto Fringe Festival, City Playhouse in Toronto and Dignity Players in Annapolis.
Cost for 6-Week Series: $100 per participant; $65 for current CP members
Location: Most sessions will be held at the Colonial Players Annex, 2134 Renard Court, Annapolis, but please note, the location may change from week to week. Some sessions will be held at the Colonial Players Theater, 108 East Street, Annapolis.
